Who I am and why blog

My name is Nina

I’m born and raised in a small town in northern British Columbia and now living in a huge city life in southern British Columbia. My heart is still like a small-town girl – living a simple life where I’m enjoying the small pleasures of life.

I’m born with a mild case of cerebral palsy (CP)- hemiplegia. This means I have CP on one side of my body – the right side for me.

This leads to my passion of running, exercise and good health. Exercise is like food for our body… When I was little, I would dream of being in the Olympics, may it be swimming, running, figure skating or track and field. I would be glued to my tv watching swimming competitions or watching track and field races… As I became older, I began having a passion for running. Soon, I began to enter road races- started with a 5km run and reached up to completing a half marathon- 21.1km.

I would like to share with all of you my story as I climb to reach the stars of my life through my eyes… maybe inspire and encourage others that anything is possible by putting our hearts and dedication towards something.
